Evaluates the practices and processes used by shipbuilding industry leaders in Asia and Europe, who now dominate what the U.S. once claimed as its own. This initial study also compares shipbuilding's design and assembly processes to those in the construction industry for possible implementation. Outlines key enablers necessary for a successful transition model.
