This International Standard gives definitions of a certain number of terms, and some general information, relating to molecular absorption spectrometry of solutions, together with general data concerning the instruments used, and, in particular, specifies :the terminology to be used to characterize, by description, these instruments;the characteristics and qualities of an instrument, by giving a summary of the principles of certain methods of verifying them.
