View Sample Alloy Digest Data Sheet (PDF) Since 1952, Alloy Digest has been the leading reference for materials property data on metals and alloys used throughout the world. Featuring graphs, charts and tables, these sheets give facts and figures on composition or characterization, physical and mechanical properties, heat treatment, and machinability.HS 50 alloy was developed to provide an increase of approximately 0.1 T (1000 G) in saturation magnetization compared with standard Permendur 49. The heat treatment of HS 50 can be carried out at a higher temperature, which gives increased permeability and lower coercive force. The mechanical properties are superior to those of Rotelloy 3. For applications where low loss is required, a thinner gage strip can be used to compensate for the lower resistivity compared with Rotelloy 3.
